Ahead of festive sales, Flipkart added 14 million cubic feet of warehousing space, lifting storage capacity 50%, and over 900 last-mile delivery hubs. Amazon launched 20 fulfilment centres and 150 delivery stations. The two are expected to hire over 410,000 temporary workers, about 30,000 more than last year, as industry estimates project festive ecommerce sales of Rs 1.50-1.55 lakh crore, up 25-29% year-on-year.
