Discord confirmed it will roll out an experimental Game Mode to users next week, after screenshots circulated over the weekend. The toggle promises to reduce Discord's CPU and GPU usage while a game runs, so concurrently running software performs better. Discord says it aims to add more resource-saving features over time, though its Chromium-based Electron architecture limits how much it can streamline.
