The Windows Global Device Identifier (GDID) is a 64-bit MSA Device PUID assigned by login.live.com during device provisioning, not a hardware hash. CDP consumes the GDID from the identity stack. The value lives in HKCU registry under IdentityCRL. A reinstall generates a new GDID.
