Altera Files Confidentially for IPO

Altera, a chipmaker specializing in AI and automation, has confidentially filed for an initial public offering. Intel acquired the company for approximately $16.7 billion in 2015. In 2025, private equity firm Silver Lake acquired a 51% stake in Altera.
