Researchers at TU Dresden formally proved that remote attestation in confidential computing fails to bind cryptographic evidence to the actual TLS session. The design flaw affects Meta's WhatsApp, Edgeless Systems' Contrast, Cocos AI, and three IETF draft standards. CVE-2026-33697 with CVSS 7.5 was assigned for the intra-handshake relay attack.
