US startup Ampera unveiled its first fully 3D-printed silicon carbide nuclear reactor module at an event in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Founder Brian Matthews stated the subcritical thorium-based design prevents runaway reactions and aims to supply datacenters with emission-free energy starting around 2030 after regulatory approval.
