Exploring Hidden JPEG Features

Maurycyz's project exploits JPEG's progressive loading to store two images in one file. The low-resolution layer shows one picture, and the high-resolution layer reveals a second unrelated image. The method supports roughly nine frames with no timing data, making animation impractical on fast systems.
