An Alaskan assembly member proposed banning books deemed "harmful to minors" from the Matanuska-Susitna Borough Public Library System. Constituents called the resolution an attempt to turn all libraries into children's libraries. The proposal was withdrawn after public backlash, but a similar resolution targeting a teen sex education book was later introduced and withdrawn.
