OpenAI Declares AGI Era, Researchers Disagree

OpenAI President Greg Brockman declared the 'AGI era' has begun at the launch of the GPT-6 Astra model. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang echoed the sentiment. However, AI researchers dispute the claim, noting there is no universal AGI threshold and current models may not meet it. The Astra model scored 99.9% on the ARC-AGI-3 benchmark using OpenAI's own software, but only 62.7% using the standard test setup.
