OpenAI Gives Ukraine Free Cyber Defence AI

OpenAI will give Ukraine's government free access to Daybreak, its AI cyber defence system, and the GPT 5.6 Sol model to protect civilian infrastructure such as hospitals and power plants. CERT-UA recorded nearly 6,000 cyber attacks on Ukraine in 2025. The deal was announced alongside the UN General Assembly in New York.
