Databricks buys Panther Labs to challenge Splunk, CrowdStrike

Databricks, the $134bn data-and-AI company, is acquiring cybersecurity startup Panther Labs to compete with Splunk and CrowdStrike. The deal is Databricks' third security acquisition. Panther pulls security data into one place so AI agents can triage alerts and investigate threats automatically.
