Nation state spies use job platforms

Nation state intelligence officers are using professional networking sites like LinkedIn, Indeed, and Upwork to pose as recruiters and target individuals for non-public information. A Five Eyes warning specifically accused Chinese military intelligence of this tactic. The spies build relationships through seemingly legitimate job ads to gain intelligence.
