Intel fortifies Foundry with an actual customer: Fortinet

Fortinet will use Intel Foundry to manufacture its sixth-generation Security Processor (SP6) on the Intel 4 process. The announcement marks the first confirmed corporate customer for Intel's foundry under CEO Lip-Bu Tan, who took over in March 2025. The custom ASIC chips are designed for security and cryptographic operations in hardware firewalls.
