Microsoft AI has published a draft Humanist AI Code of Conduct, opening a six-week public consultation on rules for its models. The document, released on 14 September, sets four objectives including maintaining human control and avoiding anthropomorphism. It contains Absolute Constraints prohibiting assistance with weapons, offensive cyberoperations, or large-scale manipulation. A revised version is due later this year to guide 2027 model development.
