Anthropic to watermark AI text in Claude models

Anthropic will embed invisible watermarks in all Claude-generated text, identifying it as AI-made. Claude models released after August 2, 2026, will include the marking at launch, applying in all countries. The move follows Anthropic signing the EU AI Act's Article 50(2) Code of Practice.
