Anthropic to start watermarking Claude-generated text, images

Anthropic PBC will embed invisible watermarks in Claude-generated text and images to comply with the EU AI Act's Code of Practice. Text watermarking applies to Claude models released after August 2, while images use C2PA metadata. OpenAI has also signed the code.
