Cloudflare Reports Surge in DDoS Attacks

Cloudflare revealed Thursday that threat actors launched 18.2 million network-layer DDoS attacks in Q3 2026, a 38% increase from the previous quarter. The company autonomously mitigated 14.4 trillion HTTP requests, averaging 197,400 attacks daily. Short-burst attacks surged by 208%, while hyper-volumetric attacks dropped 69% following law enforcement actions against groups like AISURU and KimWolf.
