The US Commerce Department denied Polestar authorization under the Connected Vehicle Rule, barring new vehicle sales from model year 2027 onward. The rule, finalized under the Biden administration, blocks vehicles with software from Chinese entities. Polestar, majority-owned by Geely, will continue selling existing Polestar 3 and 4 stock and supporting customers.
