TikTok Settles Alabama Child Safety Case for $100M

TikTok will pay Alabama at least $100 million, potentially up to $300 million, to settle claims it misled users about safety and designed its app to addict children, avoiding a trial set for Monday. The deal imposes a two-hour daily limit for minors, parental controls, overnight restrictions and filter limits. First payment is due within 45 days.
