Avataar launched Varya, an open-weight AI video model built under India's AI Mission, generating video at ₹0.50 per second ($0.005). The distilled model, based on Alibaba's Wan 2.2, runs in four steps instead of 50, making it 27 times cheaper than rivals. It accurately renders Indian culture.
