Keurig Alta Swaps Pods for Compressed Coffee Tabs

Keurig unveiled Alta, a single-serve system using compostable AltaRounds, tablets of compressed coffee with a printed recipe code, brewed by a new machine that reads the code to set pressure and temperature. The $499.99 early access bundle ships October 21, and the brewer remains backward-compatible with K-Cups.
