Keurig Alta Brews Plastic-Free Pods

Keurig unveiled the Alta, its first brewer using 100% compostable AltaRounds, at a Manhattan event. The $500 bundle is available for preorder and ships Oct. 21. The Wi-Fi machine brews espresso at up to 10 bars and also accepts classic K-Cups. Each pod still comes wrapped in plastic, though Keurig says paper wrappers are coming.
