EV insurance gap with gas cars narrows

Insuring an electric vehicle costs $3,159 on average this year, 42 percent more than a gas-powered vehicle, according to a new Insurify report. The gap shrinks to 18 percent for 2024 model year and newer vehicles as shared technology brings costs closer to parity.
