Apple Pay launches in India with Axis Bank

Apple launched Apple Pay in India on Tuesday with Axis Bank as its first banking partner, supporting Visa and Mastercard but not RuPay. Acceptance is limited to enabled terminals, and HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank and SBI Card are absent as fee talks continue. Apple seeks about 20 basis points per transaction.
