Lexus Uses Toyota Platform To Cut EV Costs

Lexus is developing vehicles that can be built as hybrids or EVs on the same architecture, avoiding costly dedicated EV platforms. Toyota CTO Hiroki Nakajima said the upcoming TZ electric SUV is expected to be profitable from launch in North America.
