A truck toll took effect July 1 in the Netherlands for vehicles over 3.5 tonnes. Battery-electric trucks pay €0.038 per kilometer, while diesel trucks in CO₂ class 3 pay €0.165. Unlike Germany or Switzerland, electric trucks are not exempt. Revenue funds road transport subsidies and charging infrastructure.
