Verda Raises $189M, Becomes European Unicorn

Helsinki-based AI cloud company Verda, formerly DataCrunch, raised $189M in an oversubscribed Series B led by Emergence Capital, valuing it at over $1 billion. The company will expand computing capacity and focus on inference. Its annualized revenue run rate hit $165 million in July, up from over $60 million in April.
