Apple rebuilt Siri AI from scratch after scrapping original plan

Apple executive Mike Rockwell said the company built a working incremental version of Siri AI last year but scrapped it because it did not deliver on the vision. The team then rebuilt Siri from the ground up, tearing it down completely. The overhauled Siri is set to arrive later this year.
