Ellison Steps Back as Oracle Pivots to AI Cloud

Larry Ellison, Oracle's founder and public face, has been absent from the company's earnings calls this year and will not keynote its upcoming user conference. This follows the September promotion of Clay Magouyrk and Mike Sicilia to co-CEOs. Ellison, 82, remains chairman and CTO, but the operational focus has shifted to the cloud infrastructure business Magouyrk built, including a European sovereign cloud.
