FireSat Satellites Launch for Wildfire Detection

Muon Space launched three operational FireSat satellites for Earth Fire Alliance via SpaceX's Transporter-17 mission. The constellation is designed to detect fires as small as 270 square feet through smoke and clouds. A demonstration satellite previously identified an undetected roadside fire in Oregon. The full 50-satellite constellation is planned by 2030.
