Testing 160MHz Wi-Fi channel width on a TP-Link Archer C6 running OpenWrt collapsed the network, with packet loss and failed connections. The router caps at 867Mbps on 5GHz, making 80MHz the widest usable width. Different chipsets handled channels differently.
