EV Batteries Aren't Disposable, We've Been Recycling Them For Years

Electric vehicle batteries have been recycled for years, contrary to claims they must be trashed. Volkswagen and Nissan launched recycling programs in 2009 and 2018. Companies including Redwood Materials, Ascend Elements, Cirba Solutions, and Glencore also recycle EV batteries at scale, recovering valuable metals like lithium and cobalt.
