Vande Mataram Debuts at International Cricket Match

The national song Vande Mataram was played for the first time at an international sporting event before India's T20 International against Afghanistan in New Delhi. The complete six-stanza version, lasting 3 minutes and 10 seconds, followed the national anthem as per a Union Home Ministry directive. This marked the first use of the full song at a sporting arena.
