Zomato Adds Fee for Cash on Delivery Orders

Zomato has introduced a new 'pay on delivery' charge for some customers, ranging from ₹5 to ₹21. This fee is separate from existing platform, delivery, and packaging charges. The move aims to recover handling costs, reduce order risk, and encourage online payments. It follows a recent 20% hike in platform fees and comes as competition intensifies from rivals like Flipkart's Eat In and Rapido's Ownly.
