Why Viasat Stock Went to the Moon Today

Viasat stock closed up 18.2% Thursday after the U.S. Space Force awarded the company a contract to build a small communications satellite prototype for the PTS-G Swarm 1 program. The total value of two contracts, one to Viasat and one to Intelsat, is $437.7 million. The program ceiling is $4 billion.
