Trump Likes Structure of Canada's China EV Deal, Carney Says

President Donald Trump is happy with Canada's arrangement to allow a capped number of Chinese electric vehicles at a low-tariff rate, Prime Minister Mark Carney said. The deal allows up to 49,000 Chinese EVs annually at roughly 6% tariff, replacing Canada's previous 100% tariff. Carney discussed the structure with Trump at the G7 summit.
