Microsoft confirmed some Windows 11 virtual desktops fail to load after sign-in, showing a black screen until users manually launch Explorer. The bug affects the August 2026 non-security preview update and later, primarily on Azure Virtual Desktop hosts using FSLogix. A Known Issue Rollback is available while a permanent fix is pending.
