Chinese brands hit record EU car share

Chinese-badged models captured a record 10.9% of the European market in June, with 150,272 registrations, up 118% year on year. Battery-electric cars accounted for about 20% of EU sales, up from around 15% a year earlier. BYD outsold Tesla across Europe over the year to May, with 135,307 registrations against Tesla's 118,068.
