Kiteworks Urges Emergency Shutdown Over Cyber Threat

Kiteworks told customers to shut down systems before the weekend after law enforcement warned of an imminent attack. The file-transfer vendor, formerly Accellion, said it is unaware of any compromise and called the advisory preventative. It fixed known flaws in version 9.5.1 but fears unknown zero-days. Thousands of healthcare, government and technology customers may be affected.
