Aylight raised €4.5 million in pre-seed funding to build a frequency-modulated comb laser chip that replaces dozens of discrete lasers in AI data centers. The Zurich startup's design runs on standard semiconductor platforms. Nvidia committed $4 billion to secure laser supply from Coherent and Lumentum in March 2026.
