Flourish launched Cortex AI, a synthetic intelligence system designed to match the human brain's power efficiency, learning efficiency, and power budget. The system targets the core issues of AI: excessive energy use and lack of continuous learning. A human brain uses about 20 watts; a single AI training chip uses over 600 watts. Cortex AI aims to reduce AI's energy consumption and enable ongoing learning without retraining. This shift could lower operational costs for AI systems deploying in real-world environments.
