Tesla produced several hundred Optimus robots per week last month, far short of its 20,000 weekly goal. The Information reports the humanoid's hands and forearms need over 100 screws and small components assembled manually. Tesla repurposed Model S and Model X lines for Optimus, but smaller, precision-critical parts create manufacturing snags. The robots remain internal-use only, with leasing planned before sales.
