Google Launches Gemini Models on macOS via AI Edge Gallery

Google AI Edge Gallery now runs on macOS, offering users access to five Gemma models locally. The platform enables Mac users to run Gemini models without internet connectivity, improving privacy and response speed. Models operate on device hardware, with performance depending on Mac specifications. Google released Gemma 4 12B and the Google AI Edge Eloquent dictation app for Mac alongside the update. The gallery currently supports only five Gemma models, not all available on Hugging Face.
