Waymo buys Apple Car test site for $220M

Waymo acquired Apple's 5,500-acre Arizona proving ground for $220 million, over two years after Apple canceled its car project. The sale recoups a fraction of the $10 billion Apple spent on the failed decade-long program. Waymo will use the facility for controlled self-driving testing.
