Swiss Government Ditches Microsoft for Open Source

Switzerland's federal government is piloting open source software on 3,000 of its estimated 54,000 computers, replacing Microsoft 365. The move follows 172 workers testing Germany's openDesk software. The next stage targets completion by end of 2027, costing $11.1 million.
