Unacademy sold to upGrad for $206M

Unacademy has been acquired by rival upGrad in an all-stock deal valuing it at $206 million, about 94% less than its 2021 peak of $3.44 billion. The Bengaluru-based edtech startup, backed by SoftBank and Tiger Global, will retain its brand, with CEO Gaurav Munjal continuing to lead.
