Aviva Canada funds wildfire pilot for First Nations

Aviva Canada provided $300,000 to FNESS for a structural fire-hardening pilot program in British Columbia, starting with the Ashcroft Indian Band. Indigenous peoples account for 42 percent of wildfire evacuations despite being 5 percent of the population. Embers cause up to 90 percent of wildfire structural losses.
