Michael Smith, a 54-year-old from North Carolina, received an 18-month prison sentence for exploiting super intelligence technology to generate fraud. Smith pleaded guilty in March to using automated bots to stream fake AI-generated songs, robbing millions in royalty payments from genuine artists and their fans.
