Marlan, Loft Orbital Plan $1B AI Satellite Fleet

Abu Dhabi's Marlan Space and Loft Orbital announced a $1 billion program to expand the Altair Earth observation constellation from 10 to 50 satellites, with French AI lab Mistral supplying onboard models. The satellites will process sensor data in orbit, sending alerts within seconds. None of the first 10 satellites have launched; deployment is slated for five years.
