India's UPI MDR Over Rs 2,000 to Attract 18% GST

From October 15, UPI merchant payments above Rs 2,000 will incur a 0.4% merchant discount rate (MDR), which will be subject to 18% GST. Registered merchants can claim input tax credit on this fee.
